I have always kept a Life List and a list of garden sightings, but I have never kept a year list, so this year I have decided to put that right. I have been prompted into this by Vince, my hillwalking and bird watching mate, who keeps track of his yearly sightings via BTO’s BirdTrack. I doubt I shall break any records, but it should be interesting and add a little friendly competition to our birding.
